Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of pressure vessels, bolted joints, impellers, bearings, rotors, and stators in EMD product lines.
  • Perform ASME Code, Section III and Section VIII analysis, and other engineering code analyses.
  • Execute fracture mechanics and fatigue analysis for nuclear-grade and commercial process equipment.
  • Utilize strong hand calculation skills for stress analysis and machine design.
  • Apply FEA techniques for detailed stress analysis.
  • Maintain attention to detail in engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the growth of the Stress Analysis team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiency in hand calculations for stress analysis and machine design.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
  • Experience in thermal stress analysis is a benefit.
  • Background in commercial nuclear industry design and analysis is considered advantageous.
