Responsibilities
- Designs and analyzes complex electro-mechanical components and systems.
- Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs.
- Directs others in the development of design information for use in drawings and specifications.
- Plans and coordinates the design and analysis of complex engineering solutions.
- Designs new equipment and machinery to support program and project needs.
- Provides technical support to failure investigations and bid responses.
- Mentors less experienced engineers and is involved in their skill development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree is a plus.
- 10 years of work experience in the manufacture and design of engineered products.
- Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators).
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, GD&T, CAD systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform analysis in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and ability to coordinate multiple project responsibilities.
