Mechanical Design Engineering Intern

The Mechanical Design Engineering Intern will assist the Curtiss-Wright professional staff by performing various mechanical, technical, and research tasks while gaining work experience during their undergraduate studies.

• Design parts and assemblies for product lines such as valves and hydraulic assemblies
• Create schematic and assembly drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Generate manufacturing drawings for parts
• Determine manufacturing processes and specify tolerancing requirements
• Collaborate with professional staff under supervision
• Gain hands-on experience in mechanical design
• Learn about export control regulations related to the position

• Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Knowledge in CAD modeling using SolidWorks
• Familiarity with GD&T and related standards
• U.S. person eligibility due to export control regulations
• Ability to work under supervision
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment
