Responsibilities
- Assist in mechanical engineering projects related to defense and commercial nuclear industries.
- Participate in the design, manufacture, and testing of critical function pumps and motors.
- Support stress and thermal engineering tasks.
- Engage in manufacturing engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as electrical and industrial engineering.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in lean manufacturing.
- Participate in project control analysis and logistics.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with engineering principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information.
- Ability to work at the Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location during the summer term.
