Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-precision automated assembly processes for optical packaging.
- Optimize machine recipes and process parameters for various builds.
- Identify and resolve process issues using statistical analysis and 8D methodology.
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to enhance process capability.
- Specify and procure custom assembly fixtures and tooling.
- Manage contract manufacturers and oversee process transfers.
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience.
- Proven track record in process development, capacity scaling, and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication skills for technical concepts.
- Direct experience with new product introduction (NPI) in high-volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in optics or photonics manufacturing preferred.
- Strong understanding of automated assembly systems and statistical analysis software.
