Responsibilities
- Designing, building, testing, and iterating on mechanical systems for solar assembly.
- Tracking, investigating, and resolving hardware issues with robots.
- Communicating with other engineers to integrate new designs.
- Fabricating parts and managing the outsourcing of drawings to a shop.
- Traveling to solar construction sites to work directly with the product in deployment.
- Collaborating with team members to improve critical assemblies.
- Contributing to climate change mitigation through innovative engineering solutions.
Job Requirements
- Experience with industry-standard CAD software (Onshape preferred).
- Ability to fabricate parts and manage outsourcing.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Open to 10-15% travel to field sites.
- A 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with industrial robot arms and automation systems is a plus.
