Responsibilities
- Work on a multi-disciplinary team for the development of robotics products.
- Own elements of architecture, design, analysis, testing, and support of robotic vehicle structures.
- Define requirements and lead structural qualification testing.
- Lead initial production builds with the manufacturing team.
- Own Standards and Compliance documentation for designs.
- Mentor and grow junior engineers within the team.
- Prototype, troubleshoot, and iterate designs collaboratively.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical and structural design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools like Solidworks and analytical tools like Ansys.
- Knowledge of FEA simulations and structural hardware analysis.
- Experience with design for harsh outdoor environments.
- Familiarity with SAE, DOT codes, and compliance.
- BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
