Responsibilities
- Own hardware development from start to finish, including specification, design, prototype, testing, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, perception, controls, and manufacturing engineers.
- Design both flight hardware and test setups to validate designs.
- Establish top-level design architectures and communicate design decisions with stakeholders.
- Perform and document design analysis and testing results; make data-driven decisions for product features.
- Ensure the final product meets design intent and customer needs by working closely with product partners.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the electrical engineering team.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering degree.
- Experience with layout & schematic capture tools and PCB design best practices.
- Experience developing PCBAs for digital embedded systems (MCU, SoC, FPGA, etc.).
- Experience designing power regulation and delivery systems.
- Familiarity with embedded interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.) and high-speed interfaces (MIPI, DDR, PCIe, etc.).
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in related industries and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering.
