Responsibilities
- Create 3D solids and drawings of wind tunnel balance and model parts using CATIA V5.
- Perform stress analysis using various tools and prepare formal stress reports.
- Coordinate with manufacturing planning and shop personnel for timely completion of balance hardware.
- Liaise with calibration personnel to ensure proper balance loading and troubleshoot calibration data.
- Install and check load of balances at onsite and offsite locations for test support.
- May require travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ensure documentation and project management tasks are completed effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related fields from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship.
- Experience with CAD tools for creating 3D part geometry and assemblies.
- Preferred experience with CATIA and designing with additive manufacturing materials.
- Knowledge in designing experimental hardware and test equipment.
- Strong writing, documentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
