Responsibilities
- Manage a team of approximately 10 engineers, including mentorship and task assignments.
- Perform technical reviews in the area of Astrodynamics with support from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Drive execution on programs for the Astrodynamics subsystem.
- Develop and improve engineering processes.
- Define the team's organizational structure, scope, and workflow to promote efficiency.
- Grow the team through hiring and internal development.
- Coordinate Internal Research and Development (IRAD) initiatives with SMEs.
Job Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience in satellite design and/or operation.
- 1-2 years of experience as a technical leader managing complex projects or teams of engineers.
- Experience with orbital mechanics and design, maneuver planning, and execution.
- Proficiency with orbit design and simulation software tools (e.g., GMAT, STK).
- Functional management experience preferred.
- Experience with on-orbit satellite operations and defining satellite & constellation CONOPS.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
