Responsibilities
- Manage a team of approximately 10 engineers, providing mentorship and task assignments.
- Perform technical reviews in Astrodynamics with support from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Drive execution on programs related to the Astrodynamics subsystem.
- Develop and improve engineering processes.
- Define the team's organizational scope and workflow for efficiency.
- Grow the team through hiring and internal development.
- Coordinate Internal Research and Development (IRAD) initiatives with SMEs.
Job Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience in satellite design and/or operation.
- 1-2 years of experience as a technical leader managing complex projects or teams.
- Experience with orbital mechanics and design, maneuver planning, and delta-V budgeting.
- Familiarity with orbit design and simulation software tools (e.g., GMAT, STK).
- Preferred: experience with on-orbit satellite operations and defining satellite CONOPS.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
