Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and build automated test equipment and test stations for satellite hardware.
- Develop robust automated test software and scripting to control instrumentation and log data.
- Collaborate with design engineering to interpret test requirements and author test procedures.
- Provide Design for Test (DFT) feedback to ensure efficient testing of new products.
- Analyze test data to verify performance and lead root cause analysis for test failures.
- Commission test stations on the production floor and provide ongoing support.
- Define and support environmental test campaigns, including thermal vacuum and vibration testing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering or electronics hardware development.
- Hands-on experience developing test hardware and software for automated testing.
- Proficiency in a common test scripting language (e.g., Python, NI LabVIEW).
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and standard test equipment.
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics industry preferred.
- Familiarity with spacecraft communication protocols and environmental testing.
