Responsibilities
- Full ownership of metallic and composite structural component design.
- Provide technical mentorship and support for build activities.
- Liaison Engineering support for non-conformances and process improvements.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers.
- Supervise fabrication and assembly services, manage procurement and vendor performance.
- Plan and conduct test objectives, data review, and reporting.
- Identify and implement opportunities for New Glenn upgrades and improvements.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of structural design experience in relevant industries.
- Experience in vehicle load path distribution and structural element design.
- Strong mechanical design skills using 3D CAD software.
- Familiarity with GD&T analysis and engineering documentation standards.
- Preferred experience with Creo and FEA analysis codes.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices and manufacturing processes.
