Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed hand calculations and finite element analysis of aerospace structures.
- Document stress analysis for engineering drawings and documents.
- Implement test campaigns and create reports for hardware qualifications.
- Collaborate with other teams for configuration development and trade studies.
- Mentor junior analysts in stress/stability/fracture analysis.
- Improve analysis capabilities through process automation tools.
- Collaborate effectively with team members from various fields.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering (M.S. preferred) with 3+ years of experience in aerospace structures.
- Proficiency in analysis codes such as Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus.
- High proficiency with FEM modeling techniques.
- Experience with development and/or qualification testing.
- Knowledge of aerospace structural requirements.
- Familiarity with classical aerospace sizing methods.
- Preferred experience with fluid systems and process automation using scripting languages.
