Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer marine electrical systems for new vessel construction and fleet sustainment
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance plans and procedures for critical electrical systems
- Coordinate and oversee contractors performing build execution and maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot problems, diagnose faults, and recommend repairs
- Improve system design to mitigate failures and increase reliability
- Develop drawings and specifications for vessel repairs and modifications
- Coach, mentor, and technically assist other engineers and technicians
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience with complex electrical design, operations, and maintenance
- Experience in subcontract management of suppliers
- Strong project management and team leadership skills
- Demonstrated project planning and schedule development capabilities
- Strong safety mindset with hands-on experience in hazardous operations
- Desired: Florida Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain certification
