Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and integration of marine instrumentation and control systems.
  • Create and modify electrical power and controls schematics for marine applications.
  • Work with shipyard technicians on fabrication, installation, and commissioning of I&C systems.
  • Develop and test PLC software for marine automation systems.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of systems.
  • Document test results and support troubleshooting during commissioning.
  • Coordinate with Project Construction Managers to align installation sequences with construction schedules.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Controls/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent for schematic design.
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems and experience in electrical schematic design.
  • Familiarity with HMI and SCADA development environments.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to travel 40–60% during construction phases.
