Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and integration of marine instrumentation and control systems.
- Create and modify electrical power and controls schematics for marine applications.
- Work with shipyard technicians on fabrication, installation, and commissioning of I&C systems.
- Develop and test PLC software for marine automation systems.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of systems.
- Document test results and support troubleshooting during commissioning.
- Coordinate with Project Construction Managers to align installation sequences with construction schedules.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Controls/Instrumentation Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls design.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent for schematic design.
- Knowledge of PLC control systems and experience in electrical schematic design.
- Familiarity with HMI and SCADA development environments.
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to travel 40–60% during construction phases.
