Responsibilities
- Reviews and approves drawings for conformance to specifications.
- Defines and implements test plans and documentation for flight hardware development.
- Provides guidance for manufacturability to ensure producibility of new hardware.
- Manages materials and process development and qualification.
- Leads transitions from development into production.
- Collaborates with multi-functional teams for materials and manufacturing processes.
- Addresses nonconformances and implements corrective actions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant field.
- 8+ years of experience with metallic materials and processes in aerospace.
- Experience with aircraft, launch vehicles, or spacecraft development and production.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing and engineering drawing review.
- Experience with external vendors and material characterization activities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
