Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves drawings for conformance to specifications.
  • Defines and implements test plans and documentation for flight hardware development.
  • Provides guidance for manufacturability to ensure producibility of new hardware.
  • Manages materials and process development and qualification.
  • Leads transitions from development into production.
  • Collaborates with multi-functional teams for materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Addresses nonconformances and implements corrective actions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 8+ years of experience with metallic materials and processes in aerospace.
  • Experience with aircraft, launch vehicles, or spacecraft development and production.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturing and engineering drawing review.
  • Experience with external vendors and material characterization activities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
