Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire design cycle of aero-decelerator and mechanical subsystems.
- Drive designs to cost targets for reduced access to space costs.
- Generate 3-D models and documentation for assembly and testing.
- Participate in subsystem level testing including planning and execution.
- Develop component specifications and manage suppliers.
- Provide manufacturing and production support.
- Collaborate directly with hardware during development and testing activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace or equivalent mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical design skills using 3D modeling tools (PTC CREO preferred).
- Proficiency in hand calculations and first-principles physics.
- Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS or similar tools.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Python and AI tools.
- Knowledge of aerospace designs and re-entry decelerator systems.
