Responsibilities
- Design tooling for production, development, test, and manufacturing for Blue Engines and New Glenn.
- Integrate mechanical design concepts across various projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpret and apply design and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
- Address technical design challenges for assembly fixtures and custom machines.
- Collaborate with component designers and manufacturing engineers to optimize design metrics.
- Manage projects including vendor selection, fabrication, and commissioning of tooling.
- Maintain schedules and budgets for project completion.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of experience in tooling and fixture design for manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD and FEA software (preferably Creo and ANSYS Workbench).
- Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Understanding of manufacturing materials and processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and custom machine design.
- Experience with CAD/PDM systems like Creo and Windchill.
