Responsibilities
- Design custom mechanical systems and assemblies for automation equipment, including tooling and robotic cells.
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with teams to define requirements and deliver complete solutions.
- Ensure designs meet functional requirements and safety codes.
- Participate in design reviews, prototyping, and testing.
- Support the fabrication and installation phases of automation projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation or robotics.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and understanding of GD&T.
- Strong understanding of machine design and motion systems.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining and welding.
- Familiarity with robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling design.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
