Responsibilities
- Design custom mechanical systems and assemblies for automation equipment.
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure designs meet functional requirements, manufacturability standards, and safety codes.
- Participate in design reviews, prototyping, testing, and system integration.
- Support fabrication, assembly, and installation phases of automation projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation or robotics.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and understanding of GD&T.
- Strong understanding of machine design and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling design.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer support and system installations.
