Responsibilities
- Design custom mechanical systems and assemblies for automation equipment, including tooling and fixtures.
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure mechanical designs meet functional and safety requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, testing, and system integration.
- Support fabrication, assembly, and installation phases of automation projects.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation or robotics.
- Proficiency in CAD software and understanding of GD&T.
- Strong understanding of machine design and motion systems.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining and welding.
- Familiarity with robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling design.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer support and system installations.
