Responsibilities
- Design production, development, test, integration, and advanced manufacturing tooling and equipment for various business units.
- Integrate mechanical design and analysis concepts across multiple projects.
- Interpret and apply design and drafting standards when creating drawings.
- Collaborate with component designers and manufacturing engineers for optimal project outcomes.
- Manage projects including vendor selection, fabrication, and equipment commissioning.
- Set and maintain schedules and budgets for project completion.
- Handle technical design challenges related to assembly fixtures and custom machines.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in design, build, and commissioning of tooling and fixtures.
- Experience with FEM and complex structural analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD-based design software for modeling and drafting.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing materials and tolerance analysis.
- Strong expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Familiarity with industry standards and manufacturing processes.
