Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual development of tooling and ground support equipment for launch vehicles.
- Collaborate with flight and manufacturing engineering teams to define tooling requirements.
- Develop Concepts of Operations (ConOps) for new tooling, ensuring safety and process repeatability.
- Generate and evaluate tooling concepts to address manufacturing challenges.
- Author Tooling Requirements Documents (TRDs) that detail design criteria and operational parameters.
- Participate in design reviews to integrate tooling considerations into vehicle design.
- Introduce innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or tooling design.
- Proven ability to develop tooling concepts for large-scale hardware.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software for conceptual modeling.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and system-level requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
