Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and tooling for launch vehicle structures.
- Introduce advanced manufacturing techniques into production workflows.
- Drive vertical integration initiatives to improve cost efficiency and schedule control.
- Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing teams for manufacturability and reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement on manufacturing processes.
- Author and maintain documentation for tooling requirements and process specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or tooling design within aerospace or heavy industry.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and additive manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with tooling development and fixture design.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
