Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing work instructions for composites fabrication, inspection, trimming, and assembly.
  • Manage quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Review engineering drawings and approve them for manufacturing.
  • Define and support repair and rework activities.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Create accurate material handling and packaging processes to protect hardware.
  • Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, or automotive manufacturing (3+ years for Level II, 5+ for Level III, 8+ for Senior).
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
  • Ability to manage a manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and author work instructions.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other technical tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience in developing processes to meet industry quality systems like AS9100.
  • Desired experience with tooling design and proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E & CATIA preferred).
