Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize production processes for launch vehicle components and ground support infrastructure.
- Design and implement workflow models and facility layouts for scalable launch operations.
- Conduct process simulations, time studies, and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks.
- Support tooling and fixture development for improved manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
- Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and schedule risks.
- Provide data-driven recommendations regarding automation and infrastructure upgrades.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in tooling fabrication or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and CAD software proficiency.
- Experience with GD&T and dimensional inspection methods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience supporting programs through the product development lifecycle.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and 5+ years in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
