Responsibilities

  • Design, model, and implement optimal factory layouts for assembly lines and test areas.
  • Analyze and define the flow of material and information, creating value stream maps.
  • Develop and maintain capacity models to inform production rate capabilities.
  • Act as the liaison between design engineering and production teams for New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to drive continuous improvements.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Ensure smooth transitions from design to full rate production through manufacturing plans and work instructions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Over 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience with factory layout design and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in process modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Preferred Master's degree in a relevant field and experience with high volume production systems.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and discrete event simulation tools.
