Responsibilities
- Design, model, and implement optimal factory layouts for assembly lines and test areas.
- Analyze and define the flow of material and information, creating value stream maps.
- Develop and maintain capacity models to inform production rate capabilities.
- Act as the liaison between design engineering and production teams for New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to drive continuous improvements.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-informed decisions.
- Ensure smooth transitions from design to full rate production through manufacturing plans and work instructions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Over 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role.
- Experience with factory layout design and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in process modeling and data analysis tools.
- Preferred Master's degree in a relevant field and experience with high volume production systems.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD software and discrete event simulation tools.
