The Systems Mechanical Engineering Intern will participate in various engineering projects related to the design and prototyping of manufacturing tooling and fixtures, as well as supporting mechanical subsystems for solid oxide fuel cell operation. This role is fully on-site and aims to provide a rewarding experience in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
  • Design and prototype tooling and fixtures required for service.
  • Design and prototype mechanical subsystems supporting SOFC/SOEC operation.
  • Own sustainability metrics.
  • Propose ideas for manufacturing cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Test and present findings for assigned projects.
  • Create documentation and process flow diagrams based on projects.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Expected graduation between spring 2026 and summer 2027.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and highly motivated.
  • Experience with 3D design using SolidWorks preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
