Principal Product Manager, Hardware

The role is for a Principal Product Manager at Axon, responsible for leading the strategy and execution of innovative hardware products, focusing on product vision, guiding teams, and ensuring successful development and launch.

• Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap from concept through launch.
• Gather insights from customers and industry trends to inform product decisions.
• Partner with engineering, design, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations for hardware solutions.
• Ensure products meet high standards of performance, reliability, and usability.
• Validate product concepts and ensure alignment with user needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with suppliers and third parties for end-to-end product solutions.
• Establish KPIs around adoption, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

• 10+ years of product management experience focused on complex hardware or hardware/software products.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Proven success in building and scaling hardware solutions.
• Comfortable engaging with engineers on architecture and manufacturing trade-offs.
• Exceptional empathy and ability to translate customer pain points into product strategy.
• Skilled at aligning stakeholders across various levels.
• Willingness to travel (up to ~20%) for customer engagement and collaboration.
