Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanisms, end effectors, and robotic systems for a modular manufacturing platform.
- Conduct rigorous testing on designs and prototypes for performance verification.
- Collaborate on complex subsystems to develop control algorithms and machine vision approaches.
- Create CAD models, BOMs, and detailed technical documentation.
- Utilize project management and collaborative tools effectively.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and assembly in the lab and machine shop.
- Adapt and integrate feedback from team members to improve designs and processes.
Job Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in electromechanical design.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools.
- Strong background in precision engineering and fabrication processes.
- Self-guided learner with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas and documentation.
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Maker mentality with hands-on experience in machining and prototyping.
