Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanisms, end effectors, robotic axes, and systems for a robotic manufacturing platform.
- Conduct rigorous testing on designs and prototypes to verify performance at a sub-micron level.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on complex subsystems, developing control algorithms and machine vision approaches.
- Create CAD models, BOMs, detailed drawings, and technical documentation.
- Use PDM and PLM systems, project management tools, and G-Suite for collaboration.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and assembly in the in-house lab and machine shop.
- Maintain a proactive and adaptable approach to learning and feedback.
Job Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience in electromechanical design.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of precision engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical ideas.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on background in fabrication, machining, and prototyping is highly valued.
