Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanisms, end effectors, robotic axes, and systems for a modular robotic manufacturing platform.
- Conduct rigorous testing on designs and prototypes to verify performance at sub-micron levels.
- Collaborate on complex sub-systems to develop control algorithms and machine vision approaches.
- Create CAD models, BOMs, detailed drawings, and technical design documentation.
- Utilize PDM and PLM systems, project management tools, and G-Suite for collaborative work.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and assembly efforts in the in-house lab and machine shop.
- Maintain a team-oriented mindset and take on varied tasks to drive collective success.
Job Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience in electromechanical design.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools for drafting and modeling.
- Strong understanding of precision engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt with minimal direction.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical ideas.
- Hands-on background in fabrication, machining, and prototyping.
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
