Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanisms, end effectors, robotic axes, and systems for a modular robotic manufacturing platform.
- Conduct rigorous testing of designs and prototypes to verify performance at the sub-micron level.
- Collaborate across teams to develop control algorithms, machine vision approaches, and inspection functionalities.
- Create CAD models, BOMs, detailed drawings, and technical documentation.
- Utilize PDM and PLM systems along with project management tools.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and assembly efforts in the lab and machine shop.
- Maintain a team-oriented mindset, taking on varied tasks to support collective success.
Job Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience in electromechanical design.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools for drafting and modeling.
- Strong understanding of precision engineering fundamentals.
- Self-guided learner with adaptability and curiosity.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical ideas.
- Hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, and prototyping.
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
