Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanisms, end effectors, robotic axes, and systems for a modular robotic manufacturing platform.
- Subject designs and prototypes to rigorous testing for performance verification.
- Collaborate on complex sub-systems to develop control algorithms and machine vision approaches.
- Create CAD models, BOMs, detailed drawings, and technical design documentation.
- Utilize PDM and PLM systems, project management tools, and G-Suite tools collaboratively.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and assembly efforts in the in-house lab and machine shop.
- Maintain a team-oriented mindset and take on varied tasks to drive team success.
Job Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience in designing electromechanical axes.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools for drafting and modeling.
- Strong understanding of precision engineering fundamentals.
- Self-guided learner with adaptability and initiative.
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical ideas and documenting designs.
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on background in fabrication, machining, and prototyping.
