Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanisms, end effectors, and robotic systems for a modular manufacturing platform.
- Conduct rigorous testing on designs and prototypes to verify performance.
- Collaborate on complex sub-systems to develop control algorithms and machine vision approaches.
- Create CAD models, BOMs, and detailed design documentation.
- Utilize PDM and PLM systems along with project management tools.
- Engage in hands-on fabrication and assembly efforts in the lab.
- Maintain a team-oriented mindset and adapt based on feedback.
Job Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design and electromechanical systems.
- Expertise in mechanical design principles and CAD tools.
- Strong background in precision engineering fundamentals.
- Proactive learner with the ability to adapt and seek feedback.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical ideas.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, and prototyping.
