Responsibilities
- Design or modify basic mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications under direct supervision.
- Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects.
- Perform and document engineering test reports; generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases.
- Perform engineering analysis and troubleshoot mechanical problems of general difficulty.
- Apply engineering processes to resolve basic mechanical problems.
- Help design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes.
- Enable the handling, assembly, and/or disassembly of parts and components throughout the product life cycle.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with basic theories and concepts of mechanical engineering.
- 1 year or more of related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, and manufacturing methods.
- Knowledge of GD&T, flow analysis, and Design for Excellence principles is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision.
