Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to refine product vision.
- Develop deep technical knowledge in areas outside of expertise to solve design constraints.
- Work with vendors and manufacturing experts to optimize designs.
- Utilize 2D and 3D CAD to communicate design intent.
- Ensure product fit, form, and function through various engineering analyses.
- Conduct prototyping, testing, and failure analysis.
- Communicate design ideas effectively and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in designing mechanical components for high volume manufacturing.
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as statics and material science.
- Skills in tolerance analysis and design for manufacturability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably NX.
