Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to execute product vision.
- Develop technical knowledge beyond core expertise to address design constraints.
- Optimize designs through collaboration with vendors and manufacturing experts.
- Utilize 2D and 3D CAD for design communication and inspection requirements.
- Ensure product fit, form, and function through various analyses and testing.
- Conduct stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, and failure analysis.
- Communicate design ideas effectively both in writing and verbally.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to travel up to 15-20% throughout the year.
- Strong engineering fundamentals including material science and statistics.
- Flexible design skills in tolerance analysis and design for manufacturability.
- Experience in designing mechanical components for high volume manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying design ideas and collaborating.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, with NX preferred.
