Responsibilities
- Mechanical design development in 3D & 2D
- Electrical component and module integration
- Building proof of concept and prototypes, testing and analysis
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand and execute on critical integration and performance requirements
- Partnering with external vendors & internal manufacturing teams to optimize designs for function, manufacturability, and cosmetics
- Ensuring designs meet requirements throughout their lifecycles by performing stress, tolerance, and failure analyses
- International travel up to 20% to support development
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or comparable fields
- Two years of Mechanical Product Design, Consumer Electronics development, Engineering or relevant alternatives
- Strong mechanical engineering design and analytical skills
- Proficiency in any current 3D CAD package
- Excellent communication skills both within and external to technical teams
- Flexibility in design approach and a strong drive for detail excellence
- Preferred: Masters Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and three or more years of professional Product Design experience
