Responsibilities
- Design systems for automation integration & high-volume production environments.
- Develop system requirements, perform detailed analysis & testing.
- Apply engineering know-how in optics, precision mechanism design & motion control.
- Apply scientific methods/testing to debug issues and implement robust solutions.
- Document best practices, SOPs, and maintain a library of proven designs.
- International travel required.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of mechanical system design experience.
- 3+ years of 3D CAD experience (NX, SolidWorks, or Pro/E).
- Experience with drafting & GD&T practices.
- Experience with analysis: FEA, Tolerance stackup, Error budget, or RCA.
- Preferred: PhD in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience or MS with 5+ years in opto-mechanical system design.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and experience in crafting functional test stations.
- Knowledge of optical system integration, alignment, and stability testing.
