Responsibilities
- Implement trusted safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems.
- Develop scalable sub-systems including sensor processing, perception, tracking, and motion planning.
- Enhance perception and planning capabilities using advanced techniques in computer vision and machine learning.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of algorithms through simulation and real-world data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective system integration and testing.
- Act as the technical owner for a system, managing stakeholder engagement and requirements definition.
- Mentor junior team members and build team cohesion.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in C++ and/or Python software development.
- Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors (radar, sonar, LIDAR).
- Knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, or motion planning.
- Experience in a senior role for robotic system delivery.
- Ability to define and implement validation and verification strategies for modules.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
