Responsibilities
- Own and drive mechanical systems and platform development from concept to low rate production.
- Lead technical efforts to define requirements and propose solutions for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and mechanical teams to ensure system reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct design reviews, analysis, and hardware test plans.
- Enhance team tools, templates, processes, and standards.
- Balance operational needs across vehicle subsystems while optimizing for development speed and cost.
- Support hardware demonstrations with customers and travel to test sites as needed.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years in a technical engineering role.
- Proven CAD skills and ability to produce engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, and mechanisms.
- Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK/SIMSCAPE.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and rapid prototyping processes.
- Hands-on prototyping skills and fabrication experience.
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
