Responsibilities
- Own complex mechanical subsystems for drone products from concept to production.
- Gather requirements and conduct trade studies for optimal solutions.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA for design assessment and optimization.
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-disciplinary partners.
- Build prototypes and execute hardware test plans while iterating on designs.
- Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures.
- Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical/design experience.
- Proven ownership of a product from concept through production.
- Proficient in CAD and capable of creating high-quality engineering drawings.
- Hands-on prototyping skills (machining, welding, soldering).
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in various domains.
- Demonstrated project/technical leadership skills.
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
