Responsibilities
- Own complex mechanical subsystems for drone products from concept to full rate production
- Gather requirements and perform trade studies for optimal solutions
- Conduct hand calculations and FEA for design development and optimization
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-disciplinary partners
- Build prototypes and execute hardware test plans, iterating on designs as needed
- Perform root cause investigations for hardware failures
- Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical/design experience
- Demonstrated ownership of a product from concept through production
- CAD skills and ability to create high-quality engineering drawings
- Proficient in hands-on prototyping and machining
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Demonstrated project/technical leadership skills
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering, or equivalent work experience
