Responsibilities
- Own complex mechanical subsystems for drone products.
- Gather requirements and conduct trade studies for optimal solutions.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA for design assessment and optimization.
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-disciplinary partners.
- Build prototypes and execute hardware test plans.
- Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures.
- Support hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical/design experience.
- CAD skills and ability to create high-quality engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in structures and mechanisms.
- Proficient in hands-on prototyping (machining, welding, etc.).
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated project/technical leadership skills.
- Familiarity with designing for rugged environments and electro-mechanical concepts.
