Responsibilities
- Own hardware design from initial requirements through hand off to low-rate production.
- Lead technical efforts to define requirements and propose solutions.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop and optimize designs.
- Build prototypes and execute hardware test plans.
- Work on designs involving thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling integration.
- Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations to understand requirements.
- Travel to test sites as needed.
Job Requirements
- Experience in an immersive technical project (collegiate or professional).
- 2-4 years of mechanical experience in a professional setting.
- CAD skills and ability to create high-quality engineering drawings.
- Hands-on fabrication skills and ability to adapt to design and manufacturing issues.
- High competence with engineering first principles.
- Experience with integration of PCBAs into mechanical systems.
- BSME, MS, or PhD in a related engineering field.
