Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a diverse team of hardware engineers through recruitment, mentoring, and professional development.
- Define the strategic roadmap and technical architecture for hardware development.
- Coordinate resources and technical expertise across multiple programs for successful execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of complex systems.
- Solve complex physical, optical, and electromechanical problems through innovative design solutions.
- Implement and enforce engineering processes and design reviews for product reliability and manufacturability.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and partners for technology evaluation and outsourced development.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in relevant engineering fields or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in leading hardware engineering teams in regulated industries.
- Expertise in digital and analog circuit design, mechanical design, optics/photonics, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to navigate complex systems and solve technical problems independently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills for technical documentation and presentations.
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
- Willingness to travel to test sites as needed.
