Responsibilities
- Design, manufacture, test & certify electromechanical sensing devices such as RTDs, Thermocouples, Speed Sensors, and Cables.
- Develop new technologies to maintain competitive advantage in a multidisciplinary team.
- Create 3D models using SolidWorks and specify materials and assembly methods.
- Generate technical documentation to support product designs, including design reports and test procedures.
- Conduct Structural, Thermal, Fatigue, and Dimensional Analyses using hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis.
- Review customer and industry specifications for bid proposals and product designs.
- Integrate design for six sigma, reliability & manufacturability into product designs while meeting customer performance and schedule objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of experience designing electromechanical sensing devices in regulated industries.
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with aerospace components and standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks version 2020 or later.
- Experience in designing for severe vibration and thermal environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
