Responsibilities
- Build performance and power models connecting architectural decisions to workload behavior.
- Analyze AI workloads against AMD Instinct™ microarchitecture to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to evaluate proposed hardware features.
- Own the feedback loop between workload characterization and hardware design.
- Contribute to the IREE compiler and ROCm™ stack, focusing on optimizations and runtime API extensions.
- Work at the Linux kernel level to improve GPU compute infrastructure.
- Develop reproducible benchmarks and performance regression infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in GPU compute hardware and AI systems software.
- Strong foundation in computer architecture and performance modeling.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for system-level and tooling work.
- Experience with GPU programming via CUDA and/or HIP.
- Familiarity with Linux kernel internals relevant to GPU compute.
- Knowledge of AI framework internals like PyTorch and Triton.
- Academic credentials in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
