Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD tools (Creo preferred, SolidWorks acceptable).
- Create and maintain detailed 2D drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation in accordance with AMD and industry standards.
- Perform structural and vibration analyses using FEA tools such as Abaqus and/or ANSYS.
- Support design trade studies, tolerance analysis, and material selection to meet product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
- Participate in design reviews, provide technical input, and implement feedback.
- Support prototype builds, system bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical design or product development.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis using industry-standard FEA tools.
- Collaborative team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronics packaging, compute hardware, or data center systems preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and validation industry standards.
