Responsibilities
- Serve as the Lead Engineer for firmware design, development, debugging, verification, and validation.
- Support pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up efforts, collaborating with firmware, BIOS, and silicon teams.
- Facilitate technical discussions to resolve complex engineering issues.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate firmware design documentation and specifications.
- Participate in system architecture reviews and support firmware requirements analysis.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering team members.
- Provide consultation to customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements.
Job Requirements
- Extensive related Server firmware experience and technical education within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven ability to lead platform-level debug efforts.
- Hands-on experience debugging Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) features.
- Strong proficiency in embedded firmware development and hardware/software interface integration.
- Experience with Machine Check Architecture (MCA) and Machine Check Exception (MCE) validation and debugging.
- Solid foundation in computer architecture concepts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
