Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, debugging, verification, and validation of firmware.
- Support pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up efforts, collaborating with firmware and silicon teams.
- Facilitate technical discussions to resolve complex engineering issues.
- Develop and maintain firmware design documentation and specifications.
- Participate in system architecture reviews and firmware requirements analysis.
- Mentor engineering team members and promote best practices.
- Provide consultation to customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in server firmware and operating system interfaces.
- Proven ability to lead platform-level debug efforts.
- Hands-on experience with Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) features.
- Strong proficiency in embedded firmware development and hardware/software integration.
- Experience with Machine Check Architecture (MCA) and Machine Check Exception (MCE) validation.
- Solid foundation in computer architecture concepts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
