Responsibilities
- Support architectural trades with preliminary thermal analysis on spacecraft and subsystems.
- Perform detailed analysis of Bus and Payload subsystems, components, and mechanisms.
- Develop automated scripts for rapid analysis updates.
- Design and analyze heat pipes for bus and payload components.
- Define and execute test setups for thermal cycling and TVAC tests.
- Conduct testing of prototypes and engineering models for feedback.
- Document trades and design evolution for design review preparation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience with thermal analysis software.
- 1+ year experience with test planning and system verification.
- 1+ year of experience in thermal control hardware development.
- 1+ year experience with thermal simulation software and programming.
- Advanced degree preferred (Master’s or PhD).
- Experience with spacecraft thermal design and CAD skills (NX or Solidworks).
