Responsibilities
- Design and implement manufacturing processes for complete motor assemblies including gearboxes, stators, rotors, and final integration.
- Develop stator lamination stacking processes, tooling design, and quality control procedures.
- Create and optimize stator winding processes for production environments.
- Design rotor manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Develop gearbox assembly processes including gear manufacturing and lubrication systems.
- Provide DFM and DFA feedback to motor design teams to enhance producibility.
- Establish process controls and quality systems for critical motor parameters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams and writing technical documents.
- Experience in motor manufacturing or electro-mechanical assembly processes.
- Knowledge of motor design principles and prototyping.
- Experience leading detailed design of manufacturing processes for complex systems.
- Thorough understanding of principles in manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with full lifecycle development and evaluating tradeoffs for motor manufacturing systems.
