Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze requirements for mechanism design.
- Create and iterate detailed CAD models of design options.
- Analyze load conditions for compliance using classical and FEA methods.
- Develop test plans for long-term reliability assessments.
- Define qualification plans and acceptance testing methods for production.
- Facilitate cost trades for manufacturability versus design uncertainty.
- Produce complete design packages including drawings and analysis reports.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with prototyping and implementation.
- 2+ years in developing space-rated Moving Mechanical Assemblies.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys FEA tools.
- Proficiency in NX (CAD) and Teamcenter PLM tools.
- Experience with active and passive Moving Mechanical Assemblies.
