Responsibilities
- Lead the design of mechanical ground support equipment for satellite systems.
- Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs using Siemens NX.
- Conduct design reviews and qualify production fixturing and tooling.
- Collaborate with multiple spacecraft design and integration teams.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and apply knowledge of product design and fabrication.
- Manage tasks with attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Participate in interdisciplinary discussions to define scope and drive project clarity.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in prototyping, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Experience with NX, TeamCenter, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with Ansys Finite Element analysis tool is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead discussions across teams.
- Experience with engineering project management software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
