Responsibilities
- Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for manufacturing ground support equipment.
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with multiple spacecraft design and integration teams.
- Work on fixturing and tooling design for satellite payloads.
- Conduct research programs to evaluate manufacturing processes.
- Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Use engineering project management software for task management.
- Engage in interdisciplinary discussions to define project scope and trade-offs.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with NX and TeamCenter software.
- Experience in DFM and manufacturing process development.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with Ansys Finite Element analysis tool (preferred).
- Strong communication and task management skills.
