Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for mounting cameras, optics, and other sensors.
- Prototype and implement modular systems for data collection.
- Collaborate with various teams, including machine learning scientists and warehouse operations staff.
- Engage with customers ranging from executives to developers.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on timely product delivery.
- Contribute to the design of complex mechanical products and equipment.
- Ensure customer requirements are met in the data collection space.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in prototyping and implementation.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools (preferred).
- Experience with industrial camera systems and sensing technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to develop software for experimental prototyping.
