Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes (assembly, integration, test processes).
- Serve as the primary technical interface to the development team during design reviews and new product development.
- Support operations by solving technical issues in high-pressure situations.
- Own the capacity increase roadmap for production and lead the design and qualification of new equipment.
- Work on the shop floor with production teams to implement new processes and resolve technical blockers.
- Conduct independent development work to identify and implement production improvements.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their skill sets and ensure alignment with technical vision.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Experience with opto-mechanical systems and low-rate manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and root cause analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with production development testing and quality control measures.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams on product design.
- Preferred experience with CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and writing skills.
