Responsibilities
- Oversee $100MM+ capital projects ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment.
- Manage mechanical design for fulfillment center systems throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop comprehensive design specifications for automated handling equipment and robotics solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their career development.
- Simultaneously manage multiple multi-million dollar projects across various facility types.
- Engage with diverse teams to provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Verify all designs meet relevant building codes, safety regulations, and Amazon standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in Design/Innovation Engineering or related fields.
- Experience managing engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Proficiency in business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Knowledge of complex automated material handling equipment and packaging technologies.
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
