Responsibilities
- Lead architectural and mechanical design of fulfillment center systems.
- Create detailed design specifications for automated material handling equipment.
- Develop and validate engineering calculations for system performance.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and serve as the primary technical point of contact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support installation phases.
- Identify opportunities for design standardization and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain detailed documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering or related fields.
- Experience with automated material handling equipment and robotics.
- Proficiency in business/technical software such as MS Excel and CAD.
- Ability to travel globally (20%).
- Master’s degree preferred with experience in process design based on Lean Principles.
- Design-in-Safety experience is a plus.
